Very nice. That big furnace had better be equally amazing but... y'know... bigger.

It's good, but it's too dull. Needs more rusty bits, some "red spray paint" (keep it on a seperate layer in case we're pressured into making it gree or something...) and some burn marks or something. Ding it up a bit. Overall though, I wouldn't choose to barbeque my babies in anything but that beauty.

Okay, here is a quick shot of the furnace texture thus far. I just need to know if you think the rust is good or too far. The color set is what I'm going to use regardless I just want to know if the amount of rust and such is appropriate. The furnace itself still needs rust I know but as far as the pipes go this is what I am thinking. I need critiques soon, if I get no feedback by tomorrow it will not be changed.

Now that, I like. Keep it up. Oh, and don't forget about scorch marks.

Enviro Art Assets - Page 3 Empty PIPES AHOY!

Post  Shawniferous Sun Apr 27, 2008 10:03 pm

Okay, all the pipes have been UV'd thanks to the magic of 3D Studio Max. Saving and Loading UV's is a life saver. I like the way the pipes turned out, but I feel as though it may be a bit too repetitive. I still have to tweak the textures a bit more, add burn marks and such. But this is what it looks like so far. Critiques are obviously encouraged. Enjoy.

Yeah the rust you have is awesome, but more of it, in other places than just the seams.
And yeah, the burn marks are a great idea.

Some urns Jay textured. I rendered them in 3DS Max since it kicks the shite out of Maya for rendering.
