Character Textures/Color Schemes
Playing a bit with some textures and colors, heres some basic quickie, first pass color schemes and texture ideas for carecrow. None of these are by any means final. Also, to re-iterate what I said to max before, it may be a good idea to keep carecrow's color scheme to some warm color, earthy tones to help set it apart from the environment's color scheme (but again, not really set in stone).

If you could bring up the saturation on his poncho and hat that would be nice. Alot of the environment will look washed out and grey, so if you can make him a bit brighter and friendlier than the environment, he'll pop out alot more. Also, don't be afraid to play around with different colours for the poncho or the buckets. With the texture sizes you'll be working with, you should be able to use some patterns and interesting colour combinations.

Every time I looked at that scarecrow before seeing these colored versions, I always imagined that his poncho was orange. But that's just a suggestion.

Well, its a good suggestion atm, and I appreciate the input since we neeto change his poncho to a more 'lively' color.

I'm personally a fan of the bright green gloves, since I personally know about a dozen elderly women who own a pair of that remarkable hue. So not only will it make it recognizable to people, but it will give the Carecrow the allure of being girly, and then when he murders people, they will learn their lesson.

Re: Character Textures/Color Schemes
I've been thinking on the subject of colour schemes and trying to get everyone to have some similarity, so I've been playing around with the notion of a triadic colour scheme (three colours on opposite ends of the wheel, such as Red, Blue and Yellow) where the character has a main colour that is emphasized the most, a secondary that is less emphasized, and final that is only there to accentuate the other two. The idea is that no two characters would have the same Primary colour, but one might have the same Secondary as anothers primary and so on. It's just a thought for now, as I'm still having trouble sorting out colour concepts for the Gargoyle, but if anyone has any pallete suggestions I'm completely open.
