Texture Resource Sites

Here is a place to dump links for Texture websites and such (mostly for environment artists) but they would be useful for everyone for school work.

First and foremost i'd suggest the following link: cgtextures.com it is an AWESOME site with lots of really good and useful textures. the only downside is you can only download 15 megs worth of images. but hey a visit a day and for like a week and you'll be set. and a

WARNING!, as soon as you click on a texture it opens a new window and deducts that file from your daily limit so DONT CLICK UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THATS WHAT YOU WANT!

another site that i found useful, its free, and you can download to your hearts content but not all are very useful for textures.

if you know of any sites that are good for TEXTURES and not so much reference images, then post them here, for reference images i guess you could post them here, or you could make a new post, up to you really

i suggest finding textures you might want early... so when you do need to go and find them you wont get limited by the website and waste everyones time!

i agree, compile images and textures that you would find useful or think may be useful now so that when the time comes and someone says "i need something that looks like this" you can say "hey i have textures/reference/whatever that would work, or thats kinda the same idea" instead of having someone take the time to stop what they're doing and search for images and textures.
